Six Stoneware Jugs with Boston and Lawrence, MA Advertising, Northeastern U.S. origin, fourth quarter 19th century, five featuring impressed advertising for the Boston merchants, Geo. W. Torrey & Co., G. Nagle & Co., M.H. Core & Co., and John Lyons, one with impressed advertising for the Lawrence firm of Curran & Joyce. One Lyons jug with spout chips and a large salt glob to reverse. Other Lyons jug with a few spout chips. Torrey jug with staining. Nagle jug with two spout chips. Core jug with small spout chip. Curran & Joyce jug with spout chips. H (of shortest) 9 1/2".
