One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1825, highly-ovoid jar with footed base, semi-squared rim, and arched tab handles, brush-decorated with elaborate horizontal tulip motifs on the front and reverse. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Three verticals stripes of cobalt below one handle. Essentially as-made condition with two in-the-firing chips to shoulder on front and two in-the-firing base chips. H 10 3/4".
