Multi-Glazed Redware Cream Jar, Stamped "S. BELL & SON. / STRASBURG," VA origin, circa 1890, ovoid jar with rounded rim, the lead-glazed surface dipped in cream-colored slip and decorated with splashes of copper and manganese. Maker's mark at shoulder. Exfoliation to exterior surface. Wear to rim. A 2 1/2" hairline from rim. H 7".
