Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Chicken Waterer, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, beehive form with stepped finial and attached water trough, decorated on the shoulder and trough with brushed leaf motifs. Additional dashed cobalt brushwork to opening. Some restoration to edge of waterer. Two short hairlines from edge of waterer. Restoration to section of top of finial. A minor, glazed-over chip to edge of finial. H 8".
