Fine Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to David Parr, Sr., Baltimore, MD, circa 1825, cylindrical jar with footed base, heavily-tooled shoulder, and semi-squared rim, decorated around the midsection with a series of conjoined tulips flanked by pairs of graduated swags. Brushed cobalt band over the tooling at shoulder. A spider crack on underside, continuing onto base area in several places. A 5" crack from rim and other shorter cracks from rim. H 13 3/8".
