One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "C. CROLIUS / MANUFACTURER / MANHATTAN-WELLS / NEW-YORK," early 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled shoulder, decorated with a brushed circle surrounding the maker's mark and highlights to the handle terminals. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. A small, in-the-firing chip to handle. A minor, glazed-over chip to spout. A few minor base chips. H 11 1/2".
