Pair of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jars with Maysville, KY Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, both of tapered form with semi-rounded "wax sealer" rims, each stenciled "G.A. McCARTHEY / & BRO. / MAYSVILLE. / KY." Larger jar with some faintness to stenciling, a minor chip to interior of rim, a minor glazed-over rim chip, and a small chip to underside at edge. Smaller jar with crack across underside, extending up front and curving across midsection. H (of taller jar) 8 1/4".
