Green-Glazed Redware Jug, New England origin, early to mid 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base, the surface decorated with a mottled greenish glaze over a red ground. Appealing color. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a recently-surfaced Northeastern U.S. collection assembled decades ago. A 2" chip to underside along edge, some of which is visible at base as stands vertically. A few additional base chips. A 2" wide U-shaped surface crack to front. Other light wear to surface. H 9 1/4".
