Fine Half-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "NB", Nelson Bass, Lincoln County, NC, circa 1880, squat-shaped, ovoid jug with tapered spout and mottled olive alkaline glaze. Shoulder impressed "N.B" above a half-gallon capacity mark. Desirable size. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8 3/8".
