Two Waterfowl Decoys, American, late 19th or early 20th century, Mason mallard drake with glass eyes, paired with a second decoy with cast iron head, repainted as a brant, with note on underside reading, "Made by Herman Wendell, Holly Bluff, Vir /circa 1895 head casted in / Philadelphia, Penn". Mallard with removeable head and some wear, the paint original or mostly original. Brant with old repaint. L (of mallard decoy) 17 1/2".

Part of a small selection of folk art / general antiques from the Raymond L. Owen collection. We sold Dr. Owen's large collection of American ceramics last year and agreed to assist the estate in selling these items, as well.
