Painted Yellowlegs Shorebird Decoy, late 19th or early 20th century, yellowlegs decoy with raised wing carving, flattened tail, glass eyes, and original painted surface. Branded "S" on underside. Loss to end of bill. Chip to tail. Shot marks. Painted surface survives in excellent condition. L (from bill to tail) 10".

Part of a small selection of folk art / general antiques from the Raymond L. Owen collection. We sold Dr. Owen's large collection of American ceramics last year and agreed to assist the estate in selling these items, as well.
