Two One-Gallon Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, a tall-collared, ovoid jar with horizontal floral motif on the front and reverse, paired with an ovoid jar with squared rim and drooping floral motif on the front and reverse. Tall-collared jar with salt drip on one side and some additional streakiness to cobalt, as well as a 1 1/2" line to collar above one handle, and minor rim nicks. Other jar with a 4 1/2" crack on underside, continuing 5 1/2" up side of jar, a 3/8" diameter hole drilled at the base, a 1 1/4" rim chip, a few other smaller rim chips, a glazed-over 1 1/4" base chip, and a second, minor base chip.
