Small-Sized Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Cobalt Rose Decoration, Stenciled "Hamilton & Jones.", Greensboro, PA, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and "wax sealer" rim, the front featuring Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling above a finely-stenciled design rose blossom surrounded by leaves. A 3" surface line on underside, not visible on interior. A chip to interior of rim. Several chips to inner wax sealer rim. H 6 3/4".
