Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stamped "SWAINE", Robert and Thomas Swaine, English origin, circa 1825-1843, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and open strap handles, impressed with Swaine maker's mark at shoulder. Provenance: The Stradlings. Base chips, one of which is glazed-over. Minor wear to both handles. A 1 1/4" rim chip.
