Norton, Bennington, VT Stoneware Price List, Dated November 24, 1854, featuring an elaborate printed image of the pottery with horse-drawn carriage in front, the header reading, "BENNINGTON STONE-WARE POTTERY. / JULIUS NORTON / EDW'D NORTON. / Bought of J. & E. NORTON, / MANUFACTURERS OF EVERY DESCRIPTION OF STONE-WARE.". List includes various stoneware forms and prices. Included in a black frame with matting. A highly desirable price list from one of America's most renowned 19th century stoneware potteries. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a long-term private collection; Exhibited at the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum, Williamsburg, VA. Base with ink notation, signed "J. & E. Norton". Typical fold marks. Various period ink notations. A 2 3/4" area of staining. Framed Dimensions: 19" x 14".
