Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BROWN BROTHERS, / HUNTINGTON. / L.I.", New York State origin, circa 1885-1905, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with two flowers emanating from a central stem with leaves. Light cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. A restored crack from rim on front and a restored crack from rim on reverse. A thin Y-shaped crack on underside.
