Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "N.A. WHITE & SON / UTICA, N.Y.", circa 1885, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large brushed and slip-trailed design of a leaves surrounding a central flower. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Several rim chips. A 3 3/4" crack on underside, continuing approximately 5 1/4" onto reverse. A minor iron ping to interior.
