One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1865, cylindrical jar with incised banding to midsection, tooling to shoulder, and flattened rim, decorated with an undulating, leafy vine extending almost completely around the jar's shoulder, culminating in a large tulip blossom. A 5" vertical hairline to body. A 3 3/8" vertical crack to base, extending 4 1/2" across underside.
