Two Pieces of Bird-Decorated Stoneware, Northeastern U.S. origin, third quarter 19th century, a two-gallon jug with cobalt bird decoration, stamped "HAXSTUN & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.", paired with a one-gallon crock with cobalt bird decoration, stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT". Jug with extensive cracks to base. Crock with staining to surface as well as a diagonal crack extending from rim, through handle, and onto midsection on left side.
