Large-Sized Stoneware Flowerpot with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Fulper Brothers, Flemington, NJ, circa 1890, with attached saucer and squared rim, the surface covered in a Bristol-type glaze and decorated on the front and reverse with cobalt flowers emanating from a central. Impresssed "4" on one side. Large painted restoration to much of pot and saucer, which is peeling off. This restoration covers a long crack in the pot as well as a crack in the saucer, and possibly more unseen damage. Minor rim chips. H 10 1/4" ; Diameter (across opening) 11 3/4".
