Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to John Burger, Rochester, NY, circa 1860, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a flowering plant with heavily-shaded petals and leaves. Slip-trailed number 3 above. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with an iron ping to front and an in-the-firing contact mark to shoulder.
