One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "FORT EDWARD POTTERY CO.", New York State origin, circa 1859, cylindrical jug with squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a stylized branch. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Desirable size and early Fort Edward maker's mark. Several shallow chips to spout. Some minor, shallow chips to base.
