Rare Large-Sized Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Inscription "COME & BUY," Wills Creek, Ohio origin, circa 1870, approximately six-gallon cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with the folky brushed inscription "COME & BUY" below stylized foliate designs and a freehand "5". This crock was reportedly used in the Wills Creek Store in Wills Creek, Ohio. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
