Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Southeastern PA origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and ribbed lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt swag and hanging flower design on the front and reverse, along with cobalt highlights to the handle terminals. Excellent condition with a tight 4" vertical surface line to one side.
