Two "E.J. MILLER / ALEXANDRIA, VA" Half-Gallon Stoneware Jars, Western PA origin, circa 1875, two cylindrical jars, both featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising "E.J. MILLER & SON. / DEALERS IN CHINA AND GLASS WARE / ALEXANDRIA. VA.". Shorter jar with some fry to cobalt, a fork-shaped hairline on underside, continuing onto base, a small salt drip at base, light surface wear, minor nicks to shoulder molding, and a small chip on interior. Other jar with staining to surface, as well as two small chips and light wear to interior of rim.
