Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, third quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, tall collar, and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front with three large, boldly-brushed tulips, and on the reverse with two tulips. Brushed wavy line decoration at the shoulder and underneath the handles. 7/8" flake to rim above right handle. Other small rim chips. Large, but very tight X-shaped line at base of decoration on front. Long, thin crack on underside, extending 6" up reverse side of jar.
