Very Rare Painted Stoneware Figure of a Whippet, Midwestern origin, probably Ohio, second half 19th century, molded figure of a whippet with collar and incised detail to muzzle and paws, reclining atop a rectangular base with incised border. Surface painted chocolate-brown. Some wear to paint. Otherwise as-made condition. L 10 1/4".
