Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1865, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and incised banding around midsection, decorated with a brushed cobalt tulip with looping stem extending across the front. Brushed stripe below rim and script "2" at base. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a recessed spot near base on reverse.
