Two Glazed Redware Jugs, New England origin, second quarter 19th century, the smaller example with footed base, strap handle, and manganese splotches over a reddish ground, the larger jug with footed base, ribbed strap handle, and manganese splotches over a light orange ground. Smaller jug with spout chip and scratch marks on underside. Larger jug with heavy losses to foot, a 1 1/2" chip to underside, heavy wear to handle, heavy wear and a chip to spout, and some wear around midsection. H (of smaller jug) 7 3/4".
