Five-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Midwestern origin, third quarter 19th century, semi-ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-squared rim, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a flowering plant bearing two circular blossoms. Includes wooden dasher and wooden lid. 11 1/2" and 6 1/2" cracks from rim on reverse. Chips to interior of rim. Heavy chipping on inner rim for lid.
