Cobalt-Dipped Stoneware Bottle, Stamped "DEFRESET LEMON BEER," Northeastern U.S. origin, third quarter 19th century, cylindrical bottle with tapered spout, the bottle dipped to the shoulder in bright cobalt slip. Wear around circumference where neck meets shoulder of bottle. Wear to spout, including two small chips to top of spout and two small chips or nicks to bottom edge of spout, one with a faint 3/4" surface extending upward from it.
