Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. WEAVER," Beaver, PA origin, circa 1865, ovoid jar with incised banding, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a undulating fuschia vine bearing two blossoms. Cobalt brushwork over maker's mark and at handle terminals. Some fry to cobalt. 3" Y-shaped surface line to side of jar. 6" L-shaped crack to side of jar. Chips to interior of rim. Old blue paint drip to surface. Wear to end of one handle.
