One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Stamped "F.H. COWDEN / HARRISBURG," PA origin, circa 1880, ovoid pitcher with tall flaring collar and tooled midsection. Front with abstract stenciled cobalt design. Spout decorated with brushed cobalt leaf or flower. Provenance: Descended in a Leesburg, VA family. Wear to rim. Two small spout chips. H 11".
