One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT.," circa 1855, cylindrical jug with rounded spout, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a song bird on a stylized branch. A few minor base nicks. Thin horizontal crack in handle. Small chip on interior of spout.
