Glazed Redware Spittoon, Mid-Atlantic origin, second half 19th century, with elaborately-tooled base and three rows of coggled moldings to shoulder. Surface covered in a colorful cream-colored glaze with brown streaks. Base chips. Some glaze flakes to base, shoulder, and top edge. Light wear around carved opening at shoulder. 2 3/4" hairline to top surface. Diameter 6".
