One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Decoration, probably NJ origin, circa 1820, ovoid jar with tall collar and applied lug handles, decorated on both sides with an unusual brushed cobalt "X" surrounded by smaller X's. 2 1/2" crack from rim. 3" spidering hairline from base. Glazed-over, shallow base chips.
