Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester Co., PA, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with brushed cobalt flowers on the front and back, as well as dashes under each handle. 7 1/2" crack from rim on one side. 4 1/2" hairline from rim on reverse.
