Very Rare Stoneware Milkpan, Inscribed in Cobalt "Milk Pan," PA origin, possibly Henry Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1835, tapered pan with thick rim, pouring spout, heavily-tooled shoulder, and applied lug handles. Decorated on both sides with the large cobalt inscription "Milk Pan". Several rim chips. Hairlines. Wide crack from rim on reverse, extending onto underside. Chip to one handle. Diameter 11 1/4" ; H 5".
