Large Ovoid Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Drape Decoration, attributed to Clarkson Crolius Sr. or Jr., Manhattan, NY, circa 1810-1830, approximately three-gallon ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout, decorated with a brushed cobalt drape design accented with additional spots of cobalt. Sealed spidering cracks throughout much of jug's surface, particularly on reverse. Base chips. H 16 3/4".
