Two-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Southern origin, late 19th century, ovoid jar with flared rim and applied tab handles, covered in a brown alkaline glaze. 1 3/4" rim chip along with several other rim chips. Wear to edge of one handle. Chip to opposite handle. Chipping and horizontal crack to base. H 11 3/4".
