Scarce Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Samuel I. Irvine, Newville, PA, circa 1865, ovoid pitcher with tooled collar and midsection, the front decorated with a large flowering vine design, the rim and spout decorated with brushed swags. Desirable form and maker. Excellent as-made condition with a salt drip on underside. H 13".
