Price Realized: $287.50 ($250 hammer, plus 15% buyer's premium).
Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug, Stamped "N. CLARK. JR / ATHENS NY," mid 19th century, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and thick spout, decorated with a triple-stemmed flowering plant design. Excellent color. Provenance: Laurence Fish Estate, Trenton, NJ. Faint hairline at upper handle terminal. Base chips, including a 2 1/4" x 3/8" flake at base on reverse. Contact mark at base on front of jug. H 13 3/4".
