Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "RIEDINGER & CAIRE / POUGHKEEPSIE, NY," circa 1860, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed bird with crest and fan-shaped tail, perched on a stylized branch. 7" x 9" piece reglued on side of jar. 1 1/2" flake and small chip on interior of rim. H 11".
