Six-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Stamped "WHITES UTICA, N.Y.," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with an elaborate slip-trailed cobalt design of a daisy surrounded by numerous leaves. Provenance: From a thirty-five year Western PA collection. Heavy flaking to surface with some painted touch-up to to leaves on left. Hairlines on right side. Small nicks and hairline to one handle. H 13 1/2".
