Stoneware Wax Sealer with Stenciled Rose Decoration, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES," Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim with wax sealer interior, the front of the jar decorated with crossed roses underscored by wreath-like stenciling. Provenance: Tom McCandless Collection, Hopewell, NJ. Excellent condition with a few small chips to inner wax sealer rim and a small chip to bottom edge of rim. H 10".
