Rare Large-Sized Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with flared rim and wax sealer interior, the front decorated with four brushed cobalt stripes. Provenance: Tom McCandless Collection, Hopewell, NJ. Unusually large size. Several small rim chips. Shallow 1 1/4" base chip on reverse. A few minor base nicks on front. H 11 3/4".
