Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "N. WHITE & CO. / BINGHAMTON," circa 1866-1868, ovoid jar decorated with a slip-trailed poppy with dotted petals. Jar is slightly out of round. Spidering hairlines on underside, with a 4" vertical crack and two 1 1/2" hairlines extending up from base. Glazed-over handle chip. 1 1/4" in-the-firing base chip. Staining to surface. H 9".
