Rare Miniature Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, New York State origin, circa 1830, ovoid jar with tall, flaring collar, and finely-formed lug handles, decorated on the front with a large brushed cobalt flower extending from a leafy stem. Reverse with a brushed cobalt swag or leaf design. Albany slip glazed interior. Exceptional size. Attractive form and decoration. Near mint condition with a few tiny rim nicks and a small, shallow chip on top of rim. H 3".
