Bristol Slip Glazed Stoneware Spaniel with Heavy Cobalt Decoration, Ohio origin, late 19th century, molded figure of seated spaniel decorated with thickly-applied cobalt highlights to fur, face, chain, and locket. Heavy chipping to base, including a 1 1/4" x 3/4" shallow chip to underside of foot. Two chips to one ear. Touch mark to muzzle. H 9 3/8".
