Large-Sized Stoneware Mug with Cobalt Band Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, mid to late 19th century, ovoid mug with unusually narrow opening and applied handle with original hole to allow for a metal lid. Decorated at the shoulder and base with a band of brushed cobalt. Glazed-over handle chip. 3 1/4" line from rim and a 2 1/2" Y-shaped line from rim. H 7 5/8".
